The Healing Hands Project started as a gift to a friend who was undergoing monthly IV treatments. She would complain about the IV site pinching and bruising her and I wanted to help. Only being in the 4th grade at the time, I wanted to help comfort my dear friend and help her heal during this difficult time. My Mom suggested making a Boo-boo Bunny that she learned how to make when she was a Girl Scout, that one can use as an ice pack and comfort toy during and after treatments. My friend loved the bunny so I began making them for other children going through similar treatments. Since then THHP has made and distributed over 4,000 of these precious washcloth bunnies and comfort kits with the help of my community. We are currently partnering with Ronald McDonald House Charities and City of Hope but, would love to expand and help even more patients with my "Healing Hands"

My organization is built on a foundation of compassion to help others heal with a positive mind set during some of the most difficult times in their lives. I believe patients of all ages deserve to be comfortable and keep their minds off the treatments with the care packages you donate or help collect and make. The Healing Hands Project believes in treating everyone with dignity and respect, and I am committed to using our resources in the most effective and efficient way possible. That's where you come in!
